GenoPATHX

GenoPathX kits will be offered in a liquid frozen form including the lysis buffer, universal master mix, internal positive contol (IPC) and an ala carte menu of Salmonella serovar primers and probes.  Up to four serovars can be multiplexed in a single PCR tube.

GenoPATHX Product Information

Deep-serotyping qPCR-based genetic test kits that can identify and quantify specific serovars of Salmonella as well as estimate total Salmonella in a single test

Primers for chicken and turkey industry specific serovars of public health concern are available

Does not require enrichment or culturing

Rapid results allow for same day interventions when needed

Capable of differentiating live Salmonella vaccine strains from wild-type

Useful for biomapping Salmonella serovars throughout the farm to fork continuum

Helps to validate the efficacy of Salmonella interventions on the farm or in the processing plant

Works with most multi-channel PCR thermocyclers

Competitive Advantages

Comply, Quantify, and Control: GPX revolutionizes the ability to identify specific Salmonella serovars of public health concern and can also tell you how much of each is present. Testing can be done rapidly at in-house laboratories allowing for same shift product disposition decisions.

One Test - Four Results: GPX offers a significant cost saving by providing the ability to test up to four different serovars in a single test in less than 4 hours using conventional RT PCR technology. No other product on the market has this ability.

Farm-to-Fork Tracking: GPX can be used to test on-farm or hatchery samples as well as throughout processing to better understand where various pathogenic Salmonella serovars enter the production system and which interventions offer the best control.

Industry Response

‘The assay’s ability to analyze samples, with or without enrichment, and without the need for traditional cultural confirmation and isolation, could drastically reduce the time to result for producers required to comply with potential serovar and load-dependent regulations.’
